Changed LivesSuzanne.. I feel like you are almost a friend of mine! I listen to you and Dave every morning in the car. I drive for 30 minuets to Sioux Falls, Singing to the songs, and laughing at your strories the whole way. I'm sure that I get a couple of looks as cars pass me. Just wanted to thank you for the wonderful job you do. And to give you a quick story of my family. On August 20th my brother gave my mother a kidney. She had been on dialysis for almost 3 years. Surgery was done at Rochester, MN and in the waiting room I had the song "I Can only Imagine" in my head and being "surrounded by HIS GLORY" Everything went very well. The surgery was sucessful. No more dialysis. GOD IS GOOD. Everyone is home and on the road to recovery.
Theron I listen to KNWC because it is uplifting, postive and humbling. To God be the glory! My name is Shannon. I'm a student at the University of Sioux Falls. I listen to Life 96.5 almost every morning before class, and while I'm in my car on the way to work. I don't have a "life changing event" to share, but I do want to say that every time I'm having a rough time and things are just piling up too fast, the perfect song comes on the radio. I can't tell you how many times I've gotten out of my car in a much better mood than when I got in. Thank you for all of your hard work, and for the rest of the staff at Life 96.5. You guys really do a great job! Thanks, Shannon I started listening to this radio station this spring after a death in my family. I was needing to be reminded of God's continual love and support and KNWC was what I needed and God placed this in my lives when I needed it most. Thank you KNWC ! My husband and I were longing for a child and we had gone through a lot of infertility treatments. The “first” time I really listened was in a friend’s vehicle on the way to and from Sioux Falls. It was after listening that I decided that I needed to change just one more thing in my life and that was the radio station that I listened to daily. So I started to listen and praying more. It was about this time in my life that my husband and I decided to look into adoption. By this time it you were “gearing up” for your fall fundraiser. I was driving in my car listening to how people did not know where they were going to get the money and yet they were trusting God to provide. It you know anything about adoption it is just that…trusting that God will provide you with the money when you receive that wonderful phone call. So without talking about it with my husband I decided to donate some money, it was not much, but I was saving for that phone call. God did provide us with the funds to send to you plus HE provided when we did get that phone call in May, 2004. I believe it is because I believed and my husband started to listen to your station shortly after bringing our daughter home from the hospital. So when the fall fundraiser can that year we had to donate. The story goes on…We decided to sponsor a half a day for the first time in 2005. It was that November we received the wonderful phone call again. We were chosen to parent a little boy to be born in December. Our goal after that was to be able to sponsor a full day as a thank you for all that God had done for us over the last ten years on our ten year anniversary (Aug 2008). So last fall (2007) he called in and made the pledge, at that time I really did not know how we were going to come up with the money. We had a big trip planned for our anniversary plus now a full day sponsorship. On December 17, 2007 my husband was in a very bad car accident. We had our trip planned for January and at that point we did not know if we were going to be able to go. God Provided! We were able to go on our trip plus maintain our pledge because HE PROVIDES. The story goes on…Now that our family is complete and I thank God everyday for the wonderful things that he has given to our family HE still PROVIDES…In March, 2008 we found out that we were expecting our first child and due in November. Why do I tell this story…I want everyone to know that if you believe and you ask; God will PROVIDE not in your time, but in HIS. Thanks you Life 96.5 for all the great inspiration that you provide to us on a daily bases. I find inspiration in the great music you provide and the announcers lift my spirits. The best part…it is commercial free and I will continue to support this ministry to bring others to Christ.
O Lord, be gracious to us; we long for you. Be our strength every morning, our salvation in time of distress. Isiah 33:2. We long for our savior to come and need to bring as many to faith before God brings us into eternity! God Bless, LaRae George, IA
2 years ago my husband fell very ill - life threatening ill. He had to have an emergency surgery and he had complications after that. He was in the hospital the first time for over 2 weeks and had to have 2 other surgeries after that. 2 nights after his first surgery he had a seizure where he was coded and had a multitude of people working on him. It was very overwhelming and very scary. I spent the night at the hospital with him where all I did was watch him breathe. After his seizure he didn't speak for hours. I spent the night in prayer - asking God to just give me a sign that everything was going to be okay. The only words he spoke during that whole night were "Raise me up". After a long night I got in my car at 5:00 that morning and just sat there crying before I even started the car engine - praying to God to show me a sign everything was going to be okay. I turned on the engine and my radio of course was on life 96.5 - the song that was on was "You Raise Me Up". I knew there was my sign - God was speaking to me. It has been 2 years since the 1st surgery and my husband is doing well. I know that God is always with me and speaks to me through the songs your station plays! Michelle
I LOVE your station. It truly helps me Walk the Walk. You know in our day to day lives we can’t spend as much time in church as needed (or as much as I need) this helps me keep the focus off of worldly things.
I knew God had been with me during the confrontation because I was careful in how I responded to her words, but the hurt was still very real. I had been praying to be able to forgive her but it was still very hard. And I was still very upset by the unjust critisizm. Then I heard Bebo’s lyrics “I will lift my eyes to the healer of the hurt I hold inside” only minutes before having to work with this person again. I knew it was God’s way of telling me HE would be with me and help me to forgive this gal. Coleen
I was recently visiting in Sioux Falls and found your station (Life 96.5). I thoroughly enjoyed listening as I drove around town, but both my husband and I were surprised and delighted to find a strong signal all the way back to LeMars, IA. And now on internet! Thanks and God bless! A new listener in Florida, Tonia Palm Bay, Florida
If someone asked me to list my best friends, you, at KNWC, would be right at the top of my list. I look forward to my 45 minute drive to work, singing and praising God that KNWC broadcasts over the area. Then at work I listen to you online. Just last week three people sitting in the lobby all started singing along with the song "I can only imagine" that was being played...it was awesome! Here is another example of what your ministry does...this morning at the office, we recieved a lot of negative news and the moral was becoming negative.... BUT the daily devotion that was passed around from KNWC, smoothed out all the wrinkles you have a way of turning negatives into positives. Thank you... Thank you for allowing God to USE YOU. What a difference you have made in the lives of others. -Lori
Thank God for being able to listen to your station online because it really makes my day. Unfortunately I'm unable to support you financially at this time but, you will be in my prayers. Thanks
I got up this morning...worrying..thinking about the day ahead..kids out on their own and trying to figure out the adult life..particularily my son who is partially blind..and my daughter in college ..both struggling with an alcholic dad that left them 4 years ago.. and then I turned on Life 96.5 like I do every morning....Nicole C. Mullins was singing "I Know My Redeamer Lives" and a peace that passes all understanding flowed through me. I just cannot thank you enough for starting my days praising a faithful God who will never leave us or forsake us..your ministry is so important.. God "works" through your "work." ...probably way more than you even know! Just wanted to say thanks to you again!!! Sincerely, Mary
Almost three weeks ago I had a miscarriage. I found out on a Friday and I was soooo dreading coming to work on that Monday, BUT I just turned my radio on KNWC and you and Dave made all of my fears go away. The music selections for that morning were so fitting to what I was going through. As mad as I was at God for taking away a second pregnancy I was comforted by the songs and by what you guys talked about. God was there with me through everything. You are so awesome and, even though you probably don't alway know, you touch so many people. Thanks so much for all that you do. I pray God continues to work through you and KNWC! In His grip-CF
The praises sung, the promises revealed, and the prayers sent while listening to this station reveal that God is faithful. There have been so many occasions that all of you have been used by God to bless me personally. But there is one day in particular that I want to share. I was blessed 2 times in less than 2 minutes!!! One afternoon, after a trying day with our daughter in the hospital, I was sad, and felt like I was losing hope and my faith in God's promises were waning. As I was driving in my car, Clayton shared the Promise of the Day. It was a very special verse that I have clung to over and over again. It gave me hope, it lifted me up. It was exactly what I needed to hear. I thanked God for allowing me to hear that promise of His during that short drive. Of course, I could've brushed it off as coincidence. Many people listen to LIFE 96.5. That moment, that promise wasn't really intended for me...but God quickly stopped my thinking that way. You see, the next song played was "Adonai." ...and the line, "Maker of EACH MOMENT" Our God is a mighty God and I'm sure He used that promise to encourage and lift up thousands of people that day and in many different ways. I am just thankful that I was listening! Thank you for your ministry. Thank you for being a tool for our Holy God's faithful blessings. Shanna.
I can't tell you enough how much I love having a fantastic Christian radio station like KNWC to listen to! We have a 14 year old son and a 8 year old son who also listen to your station and sing right along with the music. What a joy for a mother and father! No other stations can even compare to yours! I love to listen in the morning while I am getting ready for work and on my way home at night! Thanks for always being there and sharing the Lord with the world! Sheila |
