Every year, Operation Christmas Child brings joy and hope to children in desperate situations worldwide through gift-filled shoe boxes and the Good News of God's love. A shoe box filled with small toys and other gifts can open hurting hearts and touch lives eternally. For millions of children worldwide, OCC shoeboxes are tangible experssions of God's love and constant presence. Whatever they may be facing--poverty, war, or disaster--these boys and girls are reassured that they have a heavenly Father who cares. 1) Get an ordinary, empty shoebox.
3) Choose a child's gender and age group, 2-4 years old, 5-9 years old, or 10-14 years old. (Click for How to Pack a Shoe Box 4) Shop! Fill the box with age-appropriate gift items! (Click for Shoe Box Gift Suggestions) 5) Fill out the donation envelope, and affix the label on the outside of the box lid. Be sure to enclose your $7 check to Samaritan's Purse! You can be a vehicle of hope for impoverished children around the world by filling an ordinary shoebox with toys, hygeine items and gifts! Why Hands and Feet?At Life 96.5, we believe each follower of Christ is called to be His hands and feet in our homes, communities, and the world. Serving in Jesus name is the concept behind Life 96.5 Hands and Feet. Each month we’ll be introducing you to a new project or organization in our area that we’d like you to know more about. Life 96.5 Hands and Feet will give you an opportunity to serve our community by getting involved in what these groups are doing by serving as the hands and feet of Jesus. |

2) Decorate the outside of the box and lid if you wish, but it's not necessary.
